The
Athletic Club “TA OLYMPIA” (GSO), is hosting for a second consecutive year an International Open Marathon that will take place in Limassol on March 30 th 2008.
This event is under the auspices of the Cyprus Amateur Athletics Federation and will also serve as the Marathon for the 2008 Cyprus Athletics Championship. The event is of particular importance to our organization and to Cyprus in general as it is the first time that the Cyprus Marathon event is included in the calendar of the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF).
There will be a international, open 10KM Race taking place during the same day for men and women between the ages of 17-35 years old, and for veterans who are 36 years and older. The Start Line will be located in front of the old GSO Stadium and the course will follow the main waterfront road towards Nicosia until the 5KM mark, at which point the runners will turn back and finish the race at the same point they started.
