** All athletes are required to appear at the Starting Line at least one hour before the race and verify their participation (at the registration booth) regardless if they have already pre-registered and received their bibs.
Athlete / Coach Transportation will be available from and to the hotels that are indicated on the list of available hotels in the “Accommodation” section, given that athletes do make the necessary bookings and payments for such service. In order to board the bus from a certain hotel, an athlete must be a hotel customer and this also applies to local runners.
Be advised that all runners must be present at the Starting Line no later than one hour before the race (no later than 08.00 hours). The bus route should not last more than ten (10) minutes and final information and bus routes will be distributed to athletes by the travel agency responsible upon their arrival.
All coaches and/or delegates that wish to be transported to check points along the route will have to get the appropriate accreditation from the organizers and board the special bus that the organizers will provide for this specific purpose.
Personal Items of athletes must be placed in special bags that will be distributed by the organizers along with bibs during athlete registration. These special bags will also carry the athlete participation number for identification purposes. The organizers will collect all bags at the following dates and times:
Friday 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-18:00
Saturday 10:00-13:00
Time restrictions are set by the organizers in order to ensure smooth operation and management of the event. All athletes must complete the race within SIX (6) hours that is no later than 15.00 hours local time. Any athlete that might happen to continue the race beyond the six-hour mark will do so at his/her discretion, at his/her own risk, and will be automatically disqualified from the race.
Finish Line Procedures
The finish line area will be appropriately marked and set up and athletes will be given a finishing number at the end of the race that they will have to present to the registration booth for official results to be recorded.
Police presence will be strong and at the same time discreet in order to ensure safety of all participants and spectators as well as to direct traffic where needed. All entry and exit points leading to the race route will be patrolled in order to divert traffic away from the route that the race will follow. As race time elapses and the athletes make their last turn towards the Finish Line the police will slowly start opening the route to public traffic as follows:
14.00 hours – 32 km mark
14.10 hours – 34 km mark
14.20 hours – 36 km mark
14.30 hours – 38 km mark
14.40 hours – 40 km mark
15.00 hours – 42 km mark
First Aid stations will be available for all athletes at the Starting Line and also at the 10km mark, outside Atlantica hotel. Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists etc will be present to assist athletes.
Also,
two ambulances will be circulating the course at all times.
Hydration stations will be located every 2.5km along the route. All participants will be given bottled still water as well as wet sponges. Hydration products will also be distributed at the Start/Finish Line. Athletes that wish to place their own drinks or supplements at the Hydration stations are welcome to do so, by handing over these items to the organizers during registration. All items must be clearly marked with the athletes' personal participation number and the athletes will be responsible themselves to pick up from hydration stations.
Toilets will be available for athletes at the Start/Finish Line and every 5km along the route. Athletes are recommended to pay particular attention to maintaining a clean and presentable environment out of respect for their fellow runners.

Participation Requirements
All participants are required to present (upon registration) a doctor's certificate as proof for their well being. Cypriot athletes are required to present their health certificate from the Cyprus Sport Organization (KOA). On top of that, all athletes are required to sign the “Athlete Declaration Form”
All athletes participating in the event must be 20 years old prior to 29 th March 2008
Entries and Payment:
Entrants should use the entry form found on our website. The form must be returned, no later than 26 th March 2008. The participation cost for the marathon is set at 20 Euros. There is no participation fee for the 10 Km race. Payments will be made upon registration confirmation in Cyprus , at the GSO offices at Tsirio stadium, between the 28-29 March 2008 as explained above.
